My hall has been decked.
My mantle is a bit minimalist and these images capture the full extent of holiday decorating. It's nothing bright and bowy, but the extraordinary thing is that the decorations exist and they are on display in November.
I'm not quite sure to what the world is coming.

All of the greenery is from our yard, by the way. The wall wreath is ivy and euonymous and the Advent wreath magnolia and yew.
The angel built a giant snowman while waiting for the wise men to show up for the party.
Indeed, while the decorations are few, they cover lots of ground-- the nativity scene from MiL, the snowman from my grandmother, a bird in a nest from good family friends that reminds me of lifelong neighbors who gave my parents their lucky bird in a nest, snowflakes handmade by some dear friends, ornaments on the tree that I'm going to pretend are heirlooms of the Mister's (they came from an estate sale last year, but I can forget that by the time Dianthus is old enough to hear stories about them).
