22 Feet High and Rising

I'm not giving my torturous oral exams right now because I had to come home while I could still cross the bridge and help the Mister pull everything from the basement. The river was 14 feet at 7 am. 22+ at noon. Watch at home via the USGS.

Boy, it sure rises fast.

We think we want to come visit you in August some time, so we can help move stuff back into the basement, if you want to wait that long.

Appears to have crested at 8 p.m. at a little over 28 feet.

yikes! I just read your last two posts. How's the basement and the list of stuff to do? Good luck and have a great time in Italy!

For those that want to play the "will Sparkling Squirrel's basement flood" game, there are 2 things to consider -

River level (which, at time of posting, is trending in the correct way)And rainfall (which, at time of posting, is looking a little ugly)The rain seems to affect us with a 4-6 hour delay. The neighborhood is cutoff at 24 feet, more or less. Our basement starts taking water at 26 feet, more or less. I have no idea whether or not tonight's rain will flood us again. Kind of exciting, eh?

Ugh, there are two separate links there. I am incompetent at Blogger, even with the Preview feature.
