Noodle on into the New Year

For those of you wondering about the new resolution, note that I work on something closer to a lunar year for my interesting resolutions, so it is still the year of the noodle until the year of the tiger ends.
I have more to write about noodles and far more to make and eat.
In the meantime, suggestions for the 2011 resolution are welcome.
A quick recap:
2010 noodles
2009 legumes
2008 luck
2007 rodents
2004 pink
2003 sparkling wine
(2005 and 2006 were fruit and spices but were very poorly adhered to).

The Mister suggests the year of the nap. I like it but don't think it will be my resolve.

Well the last two years have been about food, which makes sense, given you like to cook. So do you want to have another food year or something broader?

I don't know that there is another color that would have the same meaning as the pink year, since, as far as I know, there isn't another color that you dislike as much as you did pink.

Are you feeling crafty? Maybe it could be something related to that?

Ohh - what about a shape? The year of the star for some reason popped into my mind - you could make star-shaped things, cook with star anise, plant plants in your garden with some kind of star-iness to them, read books that take place amongst the stars, etc.

or is there someplace new you and the family plan to visit - maybe your year could revolve around that?

birds?
sunshine?
Puffy things?
Glass?

(ok so I am just looking out my window and writing down things that I see or that pop into my mind lol)

Whatever it is, I always look forward to it!

I might just join you in whatever it is. If you don't mind lol.

Stars is an interesting idea, since stars can mean so many things, from astronomy to celebrities to quilting. Hmmm.
I had been thinking arachnids or arthropods. I don't want anything that is just food (legumes was good because I actually went and looked at non-food legumes in the wild and gardens [and was supposed to write a journal article on them]). I love spiders and would like to know more about them (and there exists some pretty cool spider related media) but if I expand to arthropods I could do some real insect watching and could eat shrimp and lobsters.
Birds I've thought about as well, but this year is unlikely to be a year when I actually take bird watching seriously. It's also unlikely to be a year I expand my craft time.
No other color would work as well as pink did (which was really initially losing my aversion to pink wine).
Thanks for the suggestions, of course you can join.

I hadn't thought of the celebrities angle with stars.

Arthropods could be fun. Maybe I might get over some of my aversion to sea food!

But I am not eating centipedes!
