The baptisia (a.k.a. blue false indigo, left) in our yard is growing inches daily. The peas (right) are slowly reaching for the second string.
The double tulip and strawberry flower are not legumes in any sense, but are depicted here to demonstrate that I finally figured out the macro lens on my camera.
I've resolved to explore legumes this year, and my interests in luck, rodents, sparkling wine, books and vegetables haven't gone away. Sparkling Squirrel Year is a tool to chronicle explorations along these lines and to share whatever interesting beans and good luck come my way.

Yay for having green growing things in your yard - and flowers! I need to take some photos of our hot pink tulips before they're gone.
Three Cheers for Baby Beans.
